Getting your kitchen designed and installed: the process
So, you've decided that you're going to get a new kitchen and you're considering working with us here at Ridgeway Interiors. Thank you.
If you haven't already, we'd suggest you download our brochures and browse through them at your leisure. If you like what you see, and want to know more, we encourage you to come and see our kitchens at our showroom in Thame.
Showroom visit
We always encourage potential customers to get in touch to arrange a visit. Not all kitchen furniture is created equally, so we'd love you to come to the showroom and feel the quality for yourself. This is also your opportunity to meet one of our experienced designers who’ll take time with you to learn about your needs, design preferences and budget, and work closely with you to understand what’s important to you. If your project is an extension, we’d encourage you to bring your plans with you to this meeting. Your designer will be with you every step of the way.
Home appointment
It’s fundamentally important for us to visit you in your home. One of our experienced designers will come and discuss all your ideas with you as well as taking the necessary measurements. This is how we get a true sense of what you want to achieve, how you and your family exist in the space and what objectives you want to meet so that we can ensure the right outcome for you.
Full design consultation
Once you’ve had your home appointment, we invite you back for your full design consultation. Your kitchen designer will present the 3D plans we’ve produced for you using the most recent CAD software, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, give feedback and make changes to the design if required.
We always work with you until you’re completely happy with the design before moving forwards.
Check-measure
After finalising your design it's time to firm things up. If you’re 100% happy with the design, and you’d like to go ahead, we’ll ask you for your preferred installation date (or delivery date, for a Supply Only kitchen). The installation manager will then visit you to carry out all the necessary checks including design, measurements, product list and colours. A “fresh pair of eyes” so to speak, to double check things from an installation point of view.
If there’s any building, electrical or plumbing work you’d like us to do we can arrange to quote for this. We can do as much as you need ourselves or are more than happy to work with your builder.
Order your kitchen
Once we’ve checked the design against the final measure, we’ll ask for a deposit and then send your personalised plan to be manufactured by your chosen supplier. Once we have a kitchen furniture delivery date we will confirm your installation date.
Our kitchens are built in the factory, specifically for your home. They come as solid cabinets built for long lasting quality, not flat packed.
Installation
Our dedicated, full-time Installations Manager will oversee your project and make sure we install your kitchen quickly and professionally. We’ll ensure the transition from old to new is as pain-free as possible with minimal disruption. It might be a little messy and noisy, but we’ll do our best to keep the inconvenience to a minimum for you and your neighbours.
Before they leave, the team will show you where everything is and how it all works. Everything will be left clean and tidy so you can get the most out of your kitchen from day one.
Fall in love with your new kitchen!
Now all you need to do is try it out. We’re sure you’ll love cooking in your new kitchen and, once you’ve given it a proper test run, we’d love to hear from you.
Leave us a review, either on Facebook or Google and let us know what you’ve been cooking.
Our customer care doesn’t stop there – after care is something we pride ourselves on. If there are any issues or teething problems, we’re always available to help.
